Washington, Aug 29 (ANI): Lady Gaga has been felicitated with the first 2011 MTV Video Music Awards honour for her smash-hit 'Born This Way'.
The promo was named the 'Best Video' with a message shortly before the ceremony kicked off in Los Angeles, reports Contactmusic.
She edged out videos from Pink, Katy Perry and Eminem and Rihanna to bag the award.
However, the pop superstar was unavailable to lift her prize on the 'black' carpet outside the ceremony, as she was busy preparing her much-anticipated opening number.
