Pete Sampras turns back aging clock

London , Sat, 27 Aug 2011 ANI

London, Aug 27 (ANI): Pete Sampras was pictured looking much younger than he did a few years ago.

The 40-year-old tennis star turned heads with his youthful countenance at the 'DIRECTV Old School Challenge' in New York, the Daily Mail reported.

The six-time consecutive World Number One looked older at the 'BlackRock Masters Tennis' in 2008 than he did a few days back in New York.

Sampras had come to take part in the private tennis event preceding the 2011 US Open - friendly matches which feature "old school" tennis legends including Ivan Lendl and the Jensen brothers as they battle it out against "new school" stars, including Sampras as well this year.

The attempts of the formidable athlete to keep himself fit with advancing age haven't got unnoticed as he grinned and showcased a line-free face at the event. (ANI)
