London, Aug 25(ANI): Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has warned Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic that they have no guarantee of a first-team place when they return from injury.
Ferdinand has been out of the squad due to a leg injury, while Vidic has been struggling with a calf problem.
In their absence, young stars Phil Jones, Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling excelled in Monday's 3-0 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur.Rio and Nemanja are aware of the abilities of the young players. There is no question about that," the Sun quoted Ferguson, as saying.
"When they are both fit, or one of them is, I will have a decision to make," he added. (ANI)
