London, Aug 25(ANI): Lotus Renault GP has reportedly decided to replace Nick Heidfeld with Bruno Senna at this weekend's Belgian Formula One Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps.
Senna, who is the nephew of F1 legend Ayrton Senna, completed a full season with HRT in 2010 before joining Renault as a reserve driver at the start of this year.
The 27-year-old was given his maiden outing in the car in first practice for the Hungarian Grand Prix before the summer break, Sky Sports reports.
The race will be Senna's first Grand Prix start since his final appearance for HRT in Abu Dhabi last November.
Heidfeld was recruited by Renault to replace Robert Kubica after the Polish driver suffered multiple injuries in a rallying accident in February.
The 34-year-old has made it through to the top-10 qualifying shootout on just four occasions from the 11 races so far, with Vitaly Petrov reaching the same stage eight times. (ANI)
