Karachi, Aug 22(ANI): Pakistan's outgoing coach Waqar Younis has backed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for selecting a young team for the Zimbabwe tour.
Waqar reckons that the board would face similar problems as India's dismal tour of England, if the selectors don't induct young players into the national team. It is good to see youngsters in the side and there will always be criticism, but sooner or later, at some time, you need to induct new players," the Nation quoted Waqar, as saying.
"If you don't find replacements at the right time than you face the problems that India is now facing. If you look at India's case they have not inducted youngsters at the right time and they are in a bad state in England," he added.
India are staring a whitewash against England in the four-Test series, having lost the first three Tests by big margins as most of their senior players have struggled in English conditions. (ANI)
