London, August 15 (ANI): Hundreds of boats owners dropped their anchors to watch the world's first sail-in movie on Friday, to mark a remarkable end to Cowes Week - the world's biggest sailing regatta.
Luxury yachts, cruisers and small inflatables lined up off the coast of Cowes, Isle of Wight, and enjoyed the 'Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World' starring Russell Crowe on a 41ft x 21ft screen.
It was voted the best sea-faring movie, ahead of Jaws and The Perfect Storm, in a poll by the host single malt Scotch whisky Talisker.
"We were really excited about bringing this unique experience to the world's most famous sailing event," the Daily Mail quoted Juliet McInnes, from Talisker, as saying.
"The film seemed a fitting way to celebrate the end to a remarkable week of sailing.
"We hoped people would sit back, relax and raise a dram of Talisker to toast to the silver screen," she added. (ANI)
