London, August 15 (ANI): Simon Cowell is said to be planning free booze for contestants in the 'X Factor' in an effort to capture as much "sex and scandal" as possible in this year's series.
And cameras will be in finalists' bedrooms 24 hours a day on his orders to make sure viewers get to gawp at every alcohol-fuelled grope.
On Sunday, 250 entrants checked in to the four-star Selsdon Park hotel in Croydon, South London, for the boot camp stage of the auditions, and were welcomed with free champagne and cocktails in the hopes that they'll get frisky in the hot tub.
"Producers want scandal, sex and break-ups," a source told The Sun.
"They know it will freshen up the series and boost ratings. The house is going to be one long party for the singers. And it will all be filmed to titillate viewers," the source added.
And an insider said many contestants have been chosen for looks and "romantic availability" rather than talent to boost odds of flings. (ANI)
