London, August 15 (ANI): A third of Scottish adults prefer bonding with their families by watching TV and films together, a new survey has found.
Meanwhile, a total of 46 per cent of people play console games with relatives, 20 per cent gather round a board game, 7 per cent play online games and 5 per cent complete jigsaws as a family.
For a group day out, the top choice - with 20 per cent of the votes - was a day at the beach, followed by a trip to a theme park and shopping for 14 per cent, according to the poll carried out by the Galloway Cheddar Family Favourites.
Almost half of those quizzed, or 48 per cent, said Chinese was their favourite takeaway supper, with fish and chips third, with ten per cent of the vote.
"Our research highlights that Scottish families like to spend their time together in a rather traditional way. A walk, time on the beach and then a family takeaway watching a movie having a laugh," the Scotsman quoted Martin Rickenback, group marketing director, as saying. (ANI)
