Mumbai, Thu, 11 Aug 2011 ANI

Mumbai/Lucknow/Chandigarh/New Delhi, Aug 11 (ANI): With the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Government banning Prakash Jha's latest release 'Aarakshan' (Reservation) in Uttar Pradesh, the security has been stepped up for the casts of the film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone.

The Mayawati Government had banned the film on Wednesday citing law and order situation. The decision was taken following a recommendation by a high level official committee set up by the BSP Government, which watched the film and submitted their report.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Government following the footsteps of the Uttar Pradesh Government has also imposed a ban on the release of the film following apprehensions that some scenes and dialogues may trigger trouble.

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) has also forwarded 'some objectionable' dialogues from the movie to the Censor Board to take a call on their inclusion.

The movie, which has been directed by Prakash Jha, is a socio-political drama based on the controversial policies of caste based reservations in government jobs and educational institutions.

This movie, which also stars Prateik Babbar and Manoj Bajpayee, takes on issues about the society and political affairs of India. (ANI)
