London, Aug 9(ANI): The Football Association (FA), the governing body of football in England, will hold talks with London's Metropolitan Police ahead of tomorrow's friendly between England and Holland amid concerns over rioting in the city.
The game at Wembley will be the subject of a police assessment to ensure resources will not be overstretched and they can police the game safely.
According to the Sun, police are worried that the Wembley area could become a potential flashpoint for rioters and looters.
They have already cancelled three football matches of the League Cup.
West Ham United's match against Aldershot, Charlton's meeting against Reading and Crystal Palace's match against Crawley were all axed.
"Every football match in London is subject to assessment around police resources," a Metropolitan Police spokesman had said.
British police have arrested over 330 people in connection with the riots that first erupted in Tottenham during the weekend and spread across London on Monday night.
Commander Christine Jones of the Metropolitan Police had said that shops were looted and officers were attacked during the violence - the worst disorder seen in London for years.
The first night of rioting began after a vigil for a 29-year-old man shot dead by police as they tried to arrest him in Tottenham on Thursday. (ANI)
