Some relief to Amar Singh in 'Cash-for-Vote' scam

The crime branch of Delhi Police is expected to submit its report on the 'Cash for Votes Scam' in the Supreme Court today. According to media reports, there is no name of politicians in that report. The police have made accused to Suhail Hindustrani and Sanjeev Saxena - the key players who orchestrated the cash for votes scam.

According to sources, due to lack of evidence and proof that can prove that any politician had approached to 'Hindustani' for 'Cash' in the context of Indo-US nuclear deal trust vote held on 22 July 2008, which UPA government had won due to defection from opposition.

This report would definitely make breather to Amar Singh who was enquired in Delhi by the crime branch of Delhi police pertaining to this matter, as the key players in 'Cash-for-Vote scam' had named Amar Singh for paying Rs. 1-Crore bribe.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had slammed the Delhi Police for its sluggish progress in this case and directed the Delhi Police to submit it's report before court in the sealed envelop. A PIL had been filed in the court targeting one of the biggest political corruptions in India.

It is expected that the Supreme Court can ask Delhi Police to explain the reason behind not arresting any politician whose name was tainted during the case.
