London, July 30 (ANI): David Beckham has expressed his desire to own a team in the American MLS league one day.
According to the Sun, Los Angeles Galaxy star has the option of buying a franchise in the States as part of a contract package.
"It's something I am interested in because I am invested in this league. Owning a team interests me more than being a coach," Beckham said.
Beckham's option to buy a Major League Soccer franchise was reported last year, but he had avoided commenting on the details.
However, now the international star, who will be 36 when his contract expires, is just two seasons away from the end of the five-year, US 32.5 million dollars deal he signed to leave Real Madrid and join the upstart American league. (ANI)
