Washington, July 27 (ANI): Actress Emma Stone is in talks to star in an upcoming flick 'The Gangster Squad'.
The American actress is thought to be in line for the role of bitter beauty Jean in the crime movie, which is set to feature her 'Crazy, Stupid, Love' co-star Ryan Gosling and her 'Zombieland' director Ruben Fleischer.
The film - which is also set to star Giovanni Ribisi, Anthony Mackie and Michael Pena - sees Jean caught in a love triangle with Ryan's character Sgt. Jerry Wooters and Sean Penn's alter-ego Mickey Cohen.
The movie - which is based on a true story - portrays the Los Angeles Police Department's struggle to ensure the East Coast mafia stay out of the city in the 1940s and 1950s. (ANI)
