Washington, July 26 (ANI): 'Firework' hitmaker Katy Perry has revealed that she is grateful that her husband Russell Brand has overcome his addictions.
The sudden death of Brand's pal Amy Winehouse has now made the 26-year-old singer appreciate him even more as he has managed to get rid of his heroin addiction after several years of treatment.
"My heart felt really sad. My husband, who has been clean and sober for almost nine years, you know, I see him working a programme and working on himself every single day," Contactmusic quoted Perry as telling US TV show 'Good Morning America'.
"And I see how much work it takes to be clean and sober when you have, you know, addiction on your hands.
"It gave me a real gratefulness for my husband, who got clean when he was 27. I feel really sad and I just hope she finds peace," she added. (ANI)
