Washington, July 26 (ANI): A team of researchers has found that fatty foods may help reduce effects of sadness in healthy non-obese individuals.
The team of researchers led by Lukas Van Oudenhove at the University of Leuven, Belgium, imaged changes in the brain when healthy non-obese individuals experience sadness.
They found that administration of a fat solution to the stomach attenuated the behavioural and nerve cell responses to sad emotion.
The findings have clear implications for a wide range of disorders, including obesity, eating disorders, and depression. (ANI)
