New Delhi, July 22(ANI): The Supreme Court on Friday refused to stay an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the assets of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, son of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S.
Rajasekhar Reddy.
The two-judge bench of justices Dalveer Bhandari and Deepak Verma dismissed the Andhra MP's plea against the High Court's order.
"If the court finds nothing against you, it will be good for you," NDTV quoted the Supreme Court, as having told Reddy's lawyer.
The Andhra Pradesh High Court had earlier directed the CBI to check allegations made - mainly by other politicians - that Reddy's assets multiplied illogically fast while his father was the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Reddy had declared assets worth 365 crore rupees in April.
Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy had died in a helicopter crash in September 2009. (ANI)
