Tevez is not irreplaceable, says Beckham

Los Angeles , Thu, 21 Jul 2011 ANI

Los Angeles, July 21(ANI): Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham thinks that Carlos Tevez's exit from Manchester City will be a big loss for the team, but insists that he is not irreplaceable.

"Tevez is such a great player and he was a strong player for them last season. Obviously if they do lose him, they will be disappointed and it'll be disappointing for the fans and for the rest of the team," the Sun quoted Beckham, as saying.

"But they have got a lot behind them now as an organization and a club so they are going to be able to afford world class players to bring in."

"If they continue to do that, I'm sure their squad and their team will be strengthened, but you need a lot of experience in the Premier League and we'll see what happens," he added.

Tevez has said that he wants to leave City, and is not "overly worried" by the collapse of his move to Corinthians.

The Brazilian side had pulled out of a 40 million pound move for the 27-year-old on Wednesday. (ANI)
