London, July 20 (ANI): Veteran Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid has said that no conclusion should be drawn from the tour match at Somerset, and added that in the end, it will be experience that decides who will be the winner in the India-England series.
Looking back at a career stretching through 153 Tests in which he has averaged 52.40, he insisted that walking out tomorrow will be a very special occasion - and not only for Sachin Tendulkar.
"Coming back here you always feel at home, that this is a place of cricket, a place that truly understands the history and the tradition of the game. It meant a lot to me to break into the India team back then," the Daily Express quoted Dravid, as saying.
"Just to come here on a tour of England I had good fortune to even play the Test match. But there were injuries and I got an opportunity and I knew it was perhaps the only one. Having waited for years, I knew the significance and importance but I was lucky - I got runs that gave me breathing space to establish myself and give me confidence," he added. (ANI)
