Mukul Wasnik to inaugurate job fest for differently abled

New Delhi, July 19 (ANI): Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Mukul Wasnik, will inaugurate job fest for differently abled here tomorrow.

 

Candidates from prestigious institutes such as JNU, Delhi University All India Federation of the Deaf, Blind Relief Association of India as well as vocational Rehabilitation Centre and Employment Exchange are expected to participate in the fest.

 

Most of the candidates belong to the disabled group of visually challenged, deaf and dumb and ortho disability.

 

The job festival would provide a platform for the employers and the physically challenged and will give them an excellent opportunity to avail a job in the private sector.

 

This is an occasion for the corporate organizations to show their commitment towards social inclusiveness by recruiting differently abled people, an official release said.

 

Three-percent of all Government jobs in India are reserved for people with disabilities and India's Disability Act includes affirmative action for people with disabilities.

 

This means that the allotment of land in India is made at concessional rates to people with disabilities for housing , business, special schools, factories with entrepreneurs who experience disabilities and recreation centers. It also means that people with disabilities have, 'appliances,' and, 'aids,' made available to them. (ANI)
