'I'll take my driving style to my deathbed,' says Hamilton

London, Sat, 09 Jul 2011 ANI

London, July 9(ANI): McLaren Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton has vowed not to give up his thrilling track tactics despite being branded dangerous ahead of Sunday's British Grand Prix.

"I'll take my driving style to my deathbed, for sure. People over-react to everything. You make a squeak and people over-react to it, that's the way of this world," The Sun quoted Hamilton, as saying.

Earlier, F1 legend Niki Lauda had described Hamilton as "completely mad" after his antics in the rain-hit Canadian Grand Prix, and called on the FIA to punish him for dangerous driving.

Hamilton had crashed out after just eight laps after a collision with teammate and race winner Jenson Button.

"He's completely mad. What Hamilton did there goes beyond all boundaries. You cannot drive like this. Someone will get killed. If the FIA does not punish him, I don't understand the world," Lauda had said.

Hamilton had escaped a ban after his two crashes during the Monaco Grand Prix by apologizing. (ANI)
