Dominica, July 8 (ANI): Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has entered record books by taking his 400th wicket after bowling out West Indies batsman Carlton Baugh during the second day of third Test match against West Indies in Dominica.
Harbhajan became the 11th bowler in history to capture 400 Test wickets as the West Indies were dismissed for 204 in their first innings of the third Test.
Only former captains Anil Kumble (619) and Kapil Dev (434) have taken more wickets for India than Harbhajan.
The umpires took an early tea break after Ishant Sharma destroyed West Indian batting line up with figures of 5-77 from 21.3 overs on the rain-affected second day at Windsor Park.
The entire focus on second day was on Harbhajan, who bowled Carlton Baugh for a top score of 60 about an hour and 20 minutes after lunch to achieve the milestone in his 96th Test.
He is also the fourth spin bowler to take 400 wickets in Tests, following in the footsteps of fellow off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan (800), Australia's Shane Warne (708) and Kumble. (ANI)
