Roseau (Dominica), July 7(ANI): Rain limited the opening day of the final Test between India and West Indies in Dominica to just 31.1 overs.
The hosts slid to 35-3 before recovering to 75-3 after they were sent in to bat at Windsor Park.
Fast bowlers Ishant Sharma and Praveen Kumar helped India make early inroads as Adrian Barath (12) and debutants Kieran Powell (three) and Kirk Edwards (six) fell cheaply, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
However, Shivnarine Chanderpaul (17 not out) and Darren Bravo (22 not out) steadied the innings with a 40-run partnership.
Only 19 deliveries were possible after lunch.
With the match scheduled in the middle of the Caribbean's hurricane season, further disruptions are expected.
Team India leads the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Kingston by 63 runs. (ANI)
