London, June 19 (ANI): Full back Kyle Walker has said that Tottenham cannot afford to cave in and let Chelsea sign Croatian midfielder Luka Modric.e said that the Spurs should not accept Blue's owner Roman Abramovich's opening offer of 22-million-pounds for Modric's services.
Though Modric has made it clear he wants to move across London to Stamford Bridge, but Walker has backed Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy's decision to make it clear that none of the club's top players are for sale at any price.
The Sun quoted the England Under-21 right back, as saying: "Modric would be a massive loss. He's a fantastic player, to be fair. He's hard to get the ball off in training and he's good to have around, good to give the ball to. He gets you out of trouble and I think he's a fantastic player."
He added: "Hopefully Spurs are not a selling club and they keep hold of him and keep going forward."
Walker, 21, will be hoping to win a regular place in Harry Redknapp's side next season after impressing during a loan spell with Aston Villa last term. (ANI)
