New Delhi, May 6 (ANI): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) moved the Supreme Court today seeking initiation of contempt of court proceedings against Chairman of the Sahara Group, Subrato Roy, for allegedly interfering into the 2G spectrum scam probe.
ED officer Rajeshwar Singh in his petition before the apex court alleged that the agency had served a notice to Roy to appear before it relating to an Rs 150 crore transaction suspected to be linked to the 2G scam.
The petition mentioned further alleged that the Sahara Group CMD not only appeared before the ED, but also tried to blackmail the probing officer.
Some of the journalists of Sahara Samay have also been named in the petition. (ANI)
