I won't be mugged again in Madrid: Redknapp

London , Sat, 19 Mar 2011 ANI

London, Mar 19 (ANI): Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has said that he won't be made a mug for a second time when he goes to Spain to face Real Madrid.

Redknapp was pick pocketed in Madrid earlier this season and lost around 500 pounds.

Redknapp is heading back to the Spanish capital tonight to see Real Madrid play against Atletico.

"The last time I was over there to watch the Madrid derby I was mugged! I think the boys out there are waiting for me again. They're probably asking 'Where's that mug?'

"But as long as Tottenham don't get mugged on the pitch in the quarter-finals, that will do for me. Everyone will talk about Real's quality but we have plenty of players who they'll be well aware of," The Sun quoted Redknapp, as saying.

Thieves distracted Redknapp back in January as he made his way to the game while an accomplice dipped into his overcoat pocket.

The theft left a cloud over Redknapp's scouting trip while he had a look at Spurs target Diego Forlan.

He added: "I won't be taking any money with me this time but I will be taking Joe Jordan with me - no one will want to tackle him!" (ANI)
