Mumbai, Mar 11(ANI): Yuva Sena activists on Friday attacked a college in Mumbai, over a demand to allow students to sit for examinations.
Protestors broke windows, pelted stones and smashed furnitures.
Shiv Sena legislator Abhijit Adsul, said: "Out of 350 boys, only 68 students have been allowed to sit for the exams. The college administration should allow them to sit for the exams"
Activists claimed that the college management wanted to show poor results so that the government would shut it down, and the management would be able to sell the land to developers to build a mall.
"For the last 15 years, a plan has been going as to how admissions should be numbered and how students should be rusticated" Adsul added.
The Shri Chinai College of Commerce and Economics had barred over 250 students from taking exam due to poor attendance.(ANI)
