Chennai, Feb 16(ANI): New Zealand batsman Brendon McCullum has said that he is thrilled to be back as an opening batsman, and feels that the time is ripe to make amends for his disappointing outings in the two past World Cups.
McCullum has scored just 152 runs in 10 World Cup innings.
"The previous two World Cups I played down the order (where) you've got reasonably limited opportunities to create an impact," the New Zealand Herald quoted McCullum, as saying.
"That's why I'm absolutely determined to play a role at the top of the order. Coming to India the best time to bat is when the ball is new," he added. (ANI)
