Karachi, Feb 7(ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will reportedly seek full details of the judgment passed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) anti-corruption tribunal against former captain Salman Butt and fast bowlers Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir.
The International Cricket Council have imposed bans on the trio over spot-fixing charges in the Lord's Test match played against England in August last year.
"One can only know the full impact of the bans when the full judgment comes and we should get the details soon," the Daily Times quoted a PCB source, as saying.
The source also said that the board would be meeting soon to discuss the criminal proceedings against the three players in London by the London Metropolitan Police.
"Obviously the players have to ensure they appear in the Crown Prosecution Court on March 17 and the board might have to play its role in ensuring they go to London for the case," the source said.
"It was on the assurance of the board and the government that the London Metropolitan Police had agreed to allow the three players to return from London last year while the case was going on," the source added.
The three Pakistani players face up to nine years in jail after British prosecutors "authorized" the slapping of corruption charges against them as well as alleged bookmaker Mazhar Majeed.
They could face a further two years in jail if convicted of a second offence of conspiracy to cheat. (ANI)
