Auckland, Feb 5(ANI): New Zealand batsman Jesse Ryder scored a quickfire century on Saturday to inspire the home team to a 57-run win over Pakistan in the sixth and final ODI played in Auckland.

Ryder, who had five ducks in nine previous innings, scored 107 off 93 balls, as New Zealand posted 311-7 after being put in to bat at Eden Park.

The 26-year-old shared a 123-run partnership with Martin Guptill (44) for the second wicket.

The Black Caps lost momentum as several wickets fell in the middle stages, but Ryder maintained his nerve to bring up his second ODI hundred before being dismissed by Mohammad Hafeez.

Styris Styris (58) and Nathan McCullum (65) then combined to plunder 120 runs from 83 balls, including 72 from the last five overs, the New Zealand Herald reports.

Abdul Razzaq and Hafeez were the pick of the Pakistan bowlers, taking 2-23 and 2-57 respectively.

Kamran Akmal boosted the visitors' run-chase with a classy 89 from 84 balls, but a steady fall of wickets and some tight fielding from the Black Caps saw Pakistan being all out for 254 from 44.1 overs.

Hamish Bennett and James Franklin were the pick of the New Zealand bowlers, grabbing 4-46 and 3-50 respectively. (ANI)
