Speedster Tait now more comfortable about completing ODI quota of overs

Perth, Fri, 04 Feb 2011 ANI

Perth, Feb.4 (ANI): Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait is now more keen than before to complete his quota of ten overs in a one-day international.

In the recent past, his haywire bowling action has only permitted him the shortest of spells, but he felt so comfortable after recovering from a gluteal strain that he wanted to complete his quota of overs in Sydney, and returned respectable figures of 2-59 against England.

"I got through the 10 [overs] and I've pulled up pretty good. The last couple of injuries or niggles I've had have surprised me a little bit, [because] my body's actually feeling pretty good," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted him, as saying.

Tait now appears set to play a key role, as the only remaining member of the 2007 attack.

"It's pretty good timing to win the series after the summer we've had, but I think it's a momentum thing and it's probably perfect timing for the World Cup," Tait said. (ANI)
