Sydney, Feb 2(ANI): Australia chased down England's 333-6 to win the sixth ODI held in Sydney by two wickets.
Australia's stand-in-captain Michael Clarke scored 82 from 70 balls, as they got home 334-8 with four balls to spare at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
It was the highest ever run chase for Australia.
The home team had made an all-action start to their chase, mainly thanks to opening batsmen Shane Watson and Brad Haddin (20), who shared a 72-run stand off 48 balls.
Watson's looming danger was ended when he was dismissed by Michael Yardy, after he had belted 51 off 34 balls.
Callum Ferguson (46) and pinch-hitter Mitchell Johnson (57) also played crucial role in the chase, where they shared a 79 run partnership for the third wicket.
England fast bowler James Anderson conceded the second worst figures by an England bowler, as he finished with match figures of 1-91 from 10 overs.
Earlier in the day, Trott had struck his second century of the series, as the visitors posted their record ODI total against the hosts in Australia.
Trott scored 137 from 126 balls, during which he shared a 80 run partnership with captain Andrew Strauss (63), 68-run partnership with Kevin Pietersen (29) and a 96-run partnership with Ian Bell (45), the Telegraph reports.
Australia currently holds an unassailable lead of 5-1 in the seven match series. (ANI)
