Microsoft AI team is working on a new noise cancellation solution that will remove the background noise from the sound. Company is using cutting edge artificial intelligence technologies for removing the background noise from the sound. This solution is will be available with the Microsoft Teams running on the Windows 10, 7, and 8.1 users and expected to release in November 2020. This feature is said to be very powerful and will help the users of Windows operating systems in removing unwanted noise while using Microsoft Teams.

The noise suppression solution is based on the AI technology which uses a trained model for noise removal. The trained model will work on the sound feed and then remove the unwanted noise, and finally produce much cleaner sound. The model might remove the unwanted background sound like pen clicks, nose generated from fans, keyboard sound etc. This is a homegrown solution developed by the engineers of Microsoft by training deep neural networks.
According to Microsoft this solution will be an update to the existing noise cancellation features and users will be provided with the option to control the amount of noise to be suppressed.
“The ‘High’ setting is new and will suppress more background noise,” Microsoft updated in the roadmap document.
