London, Jan 23(ANI): Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka believes that his team can still win the Premier League title if they follow Arsenal's lead from 13 years ago.
Chelsea has fallen off the title pace since November in a terrible run of form.
However, Anelka can recall Arsenal clawing back 12 points on Manchester United during the 1997-98 season to be crowned champions.
"It is going to be tough, but anything is possible, even if it is very hard. We have to win every game from now and maybe we can do it. But to win every game is hard," the Daily Star quoted Anelka, as saying.
"Most important is to win against the teams that are around and in front of us."
"At Arsenal in 1998, we had belief because, like I said, in football anything is possible and if you are winning game after game and others are dropping points, it can happen," he added.
Never, since Roman Abramovich bought Chelsea in 2003, have the club been so poorly placed at this stage of the season as they are now.
Their worst position has been third, six points adrift of the leaders. Currently, they are fourth, 10 points off the top. (ANI)
