Aam Aadmi Party MLA Manoj Kumar to protest against harassment: BJP

New Delhi, 20th July: Today women workers of Delhi BJP Mayur Vihar District staged a demonstration at the office of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Manoj Kumar to protest against harassment of his wife by him.

The demonstration was led by Pradesh Mahila Morcha President Smt. Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Pradesh Vice President Smt. Shikha Rai and District Mahila Morcha President Smt. Maya Chaudhary. East Delhi Dy. Mayor Shri Rajkumar Dhillon, Shahdara South Chairman Shri Devender Kumar, Councillors Smt. Sudeshna Jatav, Smt. Sarla Chaudhary, Smt. Sandhya Verma, Smt. Nikki Singh and large numbers of women workers participated in it.

Addressing the demonstrators Shri Kamaljeet Sehrawat said that women are being harassed under the administration of Aam Aadmi Party Govt. and we often get reports about harassment of women by the MLAs and workers of the ruling party. Now BJP will initiate movement to compel Aam Aadmi Party to take action against the persons harassing women.

Smt. Shikha Rai said that today when we have assembled here to protest against the harassment of his wife by the MLA Manoj Kumar we are pained to know about the news of suicide by a woman AAP worker who was compelled by the Party leaders to do so. She said that harassment of women is not a political issue and we shall fight for the women rising above party politics.
