Chennai, Dec 21 (IANS) Grundfos India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Danish company Grundfos, has ventured into the domestic water booster market with its Scala2 product, said a top company official.
Managing Director N.K. Ranganath also said the year 2016 was good for the company in terms of cash flow.
Launching the product here, he said the new product is fully integrated water boosting solution designed for easy installation and operation.
According to Ranganath, the total water pump market in India is estimated at around Rs 9,000 crore-Rs.10,000 crore.
"The segment we are in is estimated around Rs.6,000 crore," he added.
According to him, the company has begun to spread the concept of demand driven municipal water supply for the upcoming smart cities in India.
