Ola Money mobile wallet can be used at HPCL, IOCL petrol pumps to pay fuel bills over 20,000 Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd filling stations.
There is some good news for the vehicles owners, now they can use 'Ola Money' mobile wallet to pay their Petrol/Diesels bill on Verifone enabled point of sale (PoS) devices. Although this requires one step mobile verification process. Due to demonetisation there is huge shortage of cash in the market and its also very difficult to get money from either Bank or ATM.
Senior Vice President and Head, Pallav Singh said "We are delighted that some of India's largest PSUs like HPCL and IOCL are working closely with us to take the mission of a cashless India forward".
'Ola Money' is a cashless payment system and its application is available for for iOS, Android, Windows smart phones.
Government is promoting Cashless transaction in India to minimize the cash transaction in the Country.
Three days back BJP launched massive drive to raise awareness about cashless transaction in the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for a "cashless society".
