PositiveShift launches skill development platform

Hyderabad, Oct 17 (IANS) PositiveShift International on Monday announced the launch of UNO-Learn, a web, mobile and digital TV skill development platform, to offer top-rated skill development courses from leading industry experts and top universities.

UNO-Learn has signed up with five global institutes -- Masachussets Institute of Tech (MIT), Open University UK, Saylor Academy USA, Future Learn (UK), ZTE University (Taiwan).

This is in addition to 11 domain expert instructors with strong followers on other platforms, PositiveShift, a company in the learning and skill development sector, said in a statement.

To begin with, UNO-Learn will offer over 500 courses. These are expected to expand incrementally, keeping in mind industry and learners skill enlargement demand. Sixty per cent of the courses are sponsored by institutes and the rest 40 per cent by expert instructors.

"At UNO-Learn our goal is to enable individual skill enrichment aanything, anytime, anywhere in a short, sweet and impactful manner. A unique feature of our modules is that each of the courses is between 5-10 minutes in duration. Learner can complete a module in between bus stops at costs that is very fee friendly," said Vijay Ketan Mitra, founder & CEO, PositiveShift International.

"Initially UNO-Learn will focus on courses like design, technology, business, finance, entrepreneurship, big data, digital marketing, spoken English, accounting, web development, CCNA, CCNP, A+, networking and business planning. An individual who completes the courses will earn certificates signed by the industry experts.
