To work for transparency and E-governance is my priority: Subhash Arya

Newly elected Mayor of SDMC Subhash Arya has said that he will work for transparency, E-governance, self-dependence, sanitation and improvement in parking. He appealed to all for coordination and consolidated efforts.

Subhash Arya of BJP is elected as Mayor of South Delhi. He defeated Mr. Farhad Suri of Congress by margin of 19 vote. Mr. Arya secured 60 votes out of total of 101 valid votes polled. The election to the post was held in the Meeting of SDMC at Aruna Asaf Ali Meeting Hall, Dr. SPM Civic Centre today.

Speaking on the priorities newly elected Mayor said Sh. Subhash Arya said he will work for transparency, E-governance, self dependence, sanitation and improvement in parking. He appealed to all for coordination and consolidated efforts.

Speaking on the occasion Delhi Pradash B.J.P. President Sh. Satish Upadhayay said Municipal Corporation have to work hard for success of Swatch Bharat Mission and giving world class clean infrastructure in Delhi.

Leader of Opposition, Sh. Farhad Suri and Leader of House Sh. Radhey Shyam Sharma also appealed for better coordination among all for better services to citizens.

Mr. Kuldeep Solanki of BJP is elected as Deputy Mayor of South Delhi. He defeated Ms. Indu of Congress by margin of 38 votes. Mr. Solanki secured 69 votes out of total 100 valid votes polled.

Ms. Pushpa Singh of Congress and Mr. Ashish Sood & Mr. Dharamvir Awana of BJP, were elected unanimously for the post of Members of the Standing Committee from the House, since Mr. Pradeep Sharma of Congress had withdrawn his nomination for the membership.
