India celebrates 68th Independence Day

Today is the great day for India and India is celebrating the 68th Independence Day. On this occasion Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi, unfurled the national in the central court of the Red Fort. Soon after hoisting the National Flag from the rampart of the Red Fort, he began his first addressal to the nation from historic Red Fort.

This time there was no bulletproof box for PM. This is the first speech of PM Modi from the rampart of Red Fort.

On this occasion of 68th Independence Day Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of India.

Modi greeted the people in a tweet "Greetings to my fellow Indians on Independence Day! May our tricolour fly high and our nation scale new heights of development. Jai Hind!" today.

In his first Independence Day speech he described himself as the country's "Pradhan Sevak". At the start of his speech he sadi "Many, many greetings from the Pradhan Sevak."
