India's first ever Dance Week rocked Mumbai

India's first ever Dance week festival rocked Mumbai which was celebrated with much pomp and show. Bollywood celebrated choreographer Sandip Soparrkar as the brand ambassador of this 'Dance Week' organized 5 days Dance Celebration at Phoenix Market City Kurla, which was grand success where more than 500 dancers participated in different dance form like Folk, Classical, Couple Dance, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Bollywood.

The winners of the series, Kadam and Raina Parekh a couple from Ahmedabad who showcased a splendid Indian classical dance - Kathak won an
international Holiday to Thailand. The couple was presented the prize by Sandip Soparrkar and awarded by yesteryear Bollywood actress, Vidya Sinha, who was also the chief guest for the closing ceremony. The other winners in each dance category were also awarded with free shopping vouchers and exciting gift hampers by celebrities like Alesia Raut, Abhishekh Avasthi, Shibani Kashyap, Rajneesh Duggal, Pragya Yadav, Dev Balani, Kalpana Gandhi, Ananya Dutta and Rohit Verma who also added the extra oomph and glamour to the evening.

Television stars Jassi Kaur and Amit Dolawat were even seen shaking a leg on the tune of Bollywood song. The five day long celebration of Dance Week concluded on the International Dance Day with the most popular dance style in India- Bollywood. The event began with some sizzling Bollywood performances by Sandip Soparrkar’s team which really had some signature Bollywood steps.

Adding to this belief, Sandip Soparrkar, said, "I am happy and glad to see such a fantastic response to India’s first Dance Week. I am thankful to Phoenix Market City Kurla to provide dance lovers a platform to host such a wonderful event for International Dance Day."
