The movie offers a perfect holiday viewing experience particularly with your little ones around. It is a tale surrounding Mr. Peabody, his adopted son Sherman and the little talking and talkative dog who happens to be the smallest creature on earth. The captivating comedy with dramatic graphic animation make gave this movie all the elements to spend some quality hours in fun and frolic with your family around. This part comedy part adventure and part science fiction animation drama is based on the 1960 television series Peabody's Improbable History and for many elders it offers the chance to take trip way down their memory lane into their childhood days. Storyline
The story is centered on three principal characters Mr. Peabody, his adopted son Sherman and his talking dog. In his first day at the school Sherman engages into conflict with his classmate Penny Petersen. Referring to this incidence the adoption agency warns Mr. Peabody of reclaiming Sherman back unless he cannot mend his son's ways as his father and consequent to make an amicable solution to the problem he invites Penny Petersen in his home. Sherman without wasting this scope of impressing his competitive friend make some disastrous use of time machine that are threatening enough for the space time continuum we live in. How together they put things on track before it leads to irreparable destruction of our living space that involves the ensuing story. Animated science fiction with comic dimension and a lot of elements directly poured from our sensitive encounter with the world - that is Mr. Peabody and Sherman and without doubt it offers a captivating tale for animation lovers.
Music and soundtrack
The original soundtrack of the film was scored by Danny Elfman. Besides the original soundtrack Peter Andre contributed the song 'Kid' for the film and the song 'Beautiful Boy' was sung by legendary singer John Lennon.
Reception and acclamation
Mr. Peabody and Sherman received good applause from the reviewers all around. The film managed to garner 91% rating by critics in Rotten Tomatoes. Typically the critics from various sources described the film as fun packed, pleasant awfully unpredictable for the first time watchers.
