Reliving on the big screen the 'coming of age' and nostalgic moments of youth, Eros International and Next Gen Films' Purani Jeans, a vibrant and fresh offering to the audience, coming to theaters on 1st May 2014! Eros International who gave us unique and blockbuster movies such as Cocktail, Vicky Donor, English Vinglish and Ram Leela, will release the forthcoming 'Purani Jeans from its stable of commendable cinema.
The theatrical trailer of the film will be unveiled exclusively on ErosNow with huge fanfare and Eros will launch on their platform, fresh young talent through the film, to audiences worldwide.
A bittersweet tale unraveling the 'wonder years'of life through the eyes of young actors Tanuj Virwani, Aditya Seal and Izabelle Leite, Purani Jeans is directed by young award-winning ad film-maker Tanushri Chattrji Bassu.
The film travels with Siddharth (Tanuj Virwani) as he explores equations with his past, to rebuild friendship with his four friends whom he grew up with in a small town in Himachal Pradesh, especially his best friend Sam (Aditya Seal).
Set in the mid-90s, the film has a cool retro and classic vibe and the beautiful melody of 90s music, coupled with stunning visuals, its set entirely in a small town in picturesque Himachal Pradesh.
Commenting on the announcement, Producer Manju Lulla says, "On hearing this beautiful timeless story by Tanushree, it was difficult not to fall in love with the script of Purani Jeans. We decided to immediately come on board and produce this drama set against the backdrop of friendship and young love. We are excited to be providing a platform for new talent to be showcased to our audiences. Purani Jeans is fresh, fun and loving; these talented new comers have breathed life into a classic coming of age summer love".
Produced by Manju Lulla of Eros International and NextGen Films and music by Ram Sampath, the film is a feel good take on youth that promises to leave the viewer with the thought that Friendship is indeed like a pair of old jeans ...the older it gets the better it becomes!
