The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, addressed an election rally in Faridabad Today and said Congress will not be able to reach double digits in  forthcoming assembly elections in Haryana.

He said that anger against the Congress is evident today, and it will not be able to reach double digits in the forthcoming assembly elections in Haryana.

The Prime Minister said over the last 25 years, the rule of certain families had prevailed in the state of Haryana. He said Haryana needed to be free of this "looto, baanto, raaj karo."

He criticized the Haryana government for a decision transferring land, favouring the "daamad" - son-in-law, during the election campaign, when the code of conduct was in force. He asked whether the Election Commission would take cognizance of it.

He strongly refuted allegations that the Union Government had imposed a ban on the export of basmati rice. He said, the Haryana Government had imposed a tax of 4%, which made the rice of Haryana farmers uncompetitive in the market.

He said he was sitting "next-door", and in order for him to help serve the people better, without any barriers, it was essential for a BJP government with full majority to be formed in the state.

He said there were 32 lakh families in the country who received a meagre pension of Rs 50 or 100 or 200 from the Union Government. He said the Union Government had taken a decision to keep the minimum pension at Rs. 1000.

He highlighted the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, towards boosting financial inclusion. 5 crore bank accounts have been opened in one month.

The Prime Minister highlighted the poor sex ratio of Haryana. He said there was a need to protect the mothers and sisters of Haryana, and to curb female foeticide.

The Prime Minister said today there was a new respect across the world for India. This was due to the decisive mandate given to the Union Government by 125 crore Indians. He said if the people wanted Haryana to make a name on the world stage, then a stable state government with full BJP majority was necessary.
