India ticks off Pakistan's offer of admission to expelled Kashmiri students

New Delhi, Mar. 7 (ANI): India ticked off Pakistan's offer of admission to the Kashmiri students expelled by a university in Meerut when they were caught celebrating Pakistan's win over India in cricket, saying that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others.

Pakistan's foreign ministry spokesperson on said the 67 Kashmiri students were welcome to continue their studies in the country.

"I remember a proverb. Probably, this proverb could be an answer to your question. Those who live in glass house shouldn't throw stones at others," said Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson, Syed Akbaruddin.

Some students of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University were celebrating the victory of Pakistan team over India, which offended other students present in the campus, leading to clashes, after which they were charged with disturbing communal harmony.

Akbaruddin added that India proposed to Pakistan on March 04, a Skardu-Kargil bus service and multi-entry visas for people of Jammu and Kashmir to increase confidence building measures.

"To improve across LoC travel and connectivity, Kargil- Skardu bus service, we reiterated this offer and other suggestion that we had was to facilitate movement of people from the state of Jammu and Kashmir, we suggested that there could be a booklet which can facilitate multiple entries," he told reporters.
