Washington, Jan 18 (ANI): Lily Allen wasn't allowed to use her married name when she re-launched her music career, it has been revealed.
The 28-year-old singer, who took a break from her career in 2009, married Sam Cooper in 2011 and was adamant she would be using her new surname when she returned to singing.
However, she told NME magazine that her record label convinced her to stick with her maiden name because they feared fans would get confused.
She said that in this day and age, she still needs their support.
She added that since they're the bank manager, they had to have it their way or else she doesn't get the money. (ANI)
