Jorhat (Assam), Jan.12 (ANI): The 36th Junior National Handball Championship was held recently at the Jorhat District Sports Association Field.
Organised by the Assam Handball Association and Jorhat District Handball Association, the tournament was inaugurated by Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.
All together 25 teams from Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Manipur, Tripura, West Bengal and Sports Authority of India are participating in the event.
The best players will be selected for recruitment in various departments of the armed forces.
Besides, India Handball Federation will select players for the upcoming Asian Games and Olympics. (ANI)
