Sydney, Jan 7 (ANI): Australian all rounder Shane Watson has credited coach Darren Lehmann's leadership for an immediate renewal of enjoyment in the game for him and others in the team, resulting in the 5-0 Ashes series thrashing of England.
Watson credentials as a cricketer have never been in doubt, but he was one of four players suspended for the third Test against India in Mohali last March and his relationship with then Australian coach Mickey Arthur never recovered.
The frequent reports of friction with captain Michael Clarke resulted in a crisis on Australia's tour of India last year and leading to 4-0 series loss at the hands of India.
Arthur was replaced by Lehmann just days before the last Ashes series in England, Sports24 reports.
Watson said he knew what was happening within the Australian team, and added that with the coming of Darren Lehmann things started turning around.
He also complimented Lehmann for making the team environment "special". (ANI)
