In a major success, Delhi Police has arrested one of the most wanted terrorists of the country Syed Abdul Karim alias Tunda, who is considered, accused for more than 40 bombings across India. Tunda has been arrested from the Indo-Nepal border on Saturday.
Tunda, 70 is a top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist and an expert bomb maker would be produced before court Saturday, official sources said.
"Tunda was arrested on Friday from the Indo-Nepal border and will be produced at a Delhi court today (Saturday)," said Special Commissioner of Delhi Police Special Cell, S.N. Srivastava.
Tunda is a wanted terrorist in many criminal cases in India and is among the 20 top most terrorists, police said.
In addition to that, he is an aide of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
Tunda, who hails from Pilkhuwa in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad district, has been involved in 13 criminal cases in Ghaziabad alone.
Tunda left Ghaziabad with his wife in 1992 and later came in contact with terrorists.
