Just four days after five Indian soldiers were killed at the Line of Control (LoC) at Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan once again violated the ceasefire at Durga post along LoC on Friday night.
According to the TV reports, Pakistani Army started firing on several Indian posts in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir, which continued for hours provoking the Indian Army to retaliate. However, no causalities have been reported till now.
The fresh incident is now likely to affect the upcoming meeting between the prime ministers of both the nations which was scheduled in September later this year during the United Nations General Assembly at New York.
Earlier on August 6, a group of 20 armed men led by Pakistani army killed five Indian soldiers on a patrol in Chakan Da Bagh sector of Poonch, sector in an ambush. The killings has raised an outrage among the people across the nation and led to a political stir in the country.
The families of the killed soldiers along with the entire nation is seeking necessary action from the Indian government to avoid such incident in future but no action has been taked by the defence ministry till now.
Four of the dead Indian soldiers were from 21 Bihar Regiment and one from 14 Maratha Light Infantry.
