The Supreme Court has take the note for the crisis of Uttarakhand and insufficient relief and rescue operation directing that it must be accelerate the relief to those affected area.
Commenting on the whole situation, The Apex court has directed the central and Uttarakhand governments to provide immediate relief to those affected by the devastating floods in the state.
Judges A.K. Patnaik and Ranjan Gogoi said in their decision that help should include food, drinking water, medicines and fuel.
The apex court bench said relief material must be provided to the affected and stranded people without any discrimination.
It is noted that torrential rains and cloudburst over the weekend have caused widespread death and destruction in the hills of Uttarakhand, particularly around the highly revered Kedarnath shrine.
Officials have put the death toll at about 150 but unofficial sources say it could be much more.
Commenting the grim situation, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand himself has admitted that the situation of state is very grim due to the devastation and it took more time for the normalcy.
